A Joyful Situation
A Joyful Situation

How grateful we are that the Lord has enabled us to spend the majority of our lives on the mission field, and what a blessing it is to be here in the Philippines.  These are words that in spite of the frustrations that come, we find coming to our hearts more and more as we witness God’s transforming power in the lives of those to whom we minister.  This past month we had a funeral, which usually is not a joyous occasion. However, when it is the service of a woman who knows Christ as her Savior and who has been racked by pain from kidney disease, with the results of the continual need for dialysis three days a week (and not enough money to pay for it) so she missed quite a few sessions, it truly is a joy.  It is more so since many of the immediate family have been saved, are growing in the Lord, and were able to face a difficult situation with a different testimony than many others.  To top it all off, a few days before the funeral, Pam and I were able to lead the sister, visiting from Japan, to call upon the Lord as her Savior.  What a joy!!!
