A Wife's Witness
A Wife's Witness

Shida’s wife started coming to the Injili Baptist Church about three months ago.  She got saved and baptized but was a little afraid to tell her husband because he was a follower of Islam.  About three weeks ago, Shida came to see Pastor Allan and told him that he had been arguing with his wife since the day of their wedding but now that she had been coming to the church she was nice to him.  He wanted to know what was happening to her.  Pastor Allan explained it was Jesus Christ who was changing her to be more loving.  Shida said that he was “in-between” which means he knew he needed to make a decision but not that day.  Last Saturday, we had a men’s meeting and a visiting pastor Florida was our guest speaker.  After the meeting, he invited men to speak to him that wanted to be saved.  Eight men were standing but only two wanted to accept the Lord.  As everyone was leaving, Shida said, “I have listened as the others prayed and I know that God wants me to be saved, but I do not know how to pray.”  Pastor Allan got the joy of leading him in a prayer of salvation.  After the prayer, Shida was shaking with fear and told us that this decision would be unfriendly to his friends and family but that it was the right way to heaven.  Pray for Shida.  Praise God for another soul in His Kingdom.
