Within a few days of our return to Denmark, we were introduced to Bent Nielsen, who lives around the corner from us.  Last year Bent’s life radically changed in many ways.  He suffered a stroke which has left him paralyzed.  His wife, who was a believer, died suddenly from a heart attack while he was in the hospital.  Many would think that Bent just suffered from a run of bad luck.  We see his story differently.  At his wife’s funeral, Bent placed his faith in Christ and he was born again.  Now he desires to grow in his faith and have the same relationship with Christ that his wife of 25 years knew.  God is using us to minister to Bent and disciple him.  We meet at his bedside 2-3 times a week and study God’s Word together.  Through these visits, we are meeting Bent’s lost family, friends and homecare nurses.  Through Bent, God is providing us with opportunities for sharing Christ.
