Just One More Time
Just One More Time

Three weeks ago our family was walking the sidewalks in the area around our church.  We were simply inviting people to attend our services that coming Sunday.  We were getting pretty close to the church where we had invited countless times each and every person.  It was very hot and we were ready to get in the air conditioned van and get home.  As we passed a home we saw a grandmother and a young mother sitting on their front porch talking.  We waved and said hello and continued on walking toward our air conditioned goal.  Our six-year-old daughter Katie asked, “Dad are you going to invite them to church this Sunday?”  She then took an invitation out of her daddy’s hand and returned to the house and invited both ladies to our church.  That Sunday the young mother, Raquel, was present for the morning service.  She enjoyed it and promised to return the following Sunday.  The next Sunday came and she once again was there.  At the end of the service we had the opportunity to share the Gospel with her and watch as she bowed her head and received Christ as her Saviour.  Our six-year-old daughter taught us a valuable lesson that day.  No matter how many times you have invited someone, you can always invite them one more time.  No matter how many times you have shared the Gospel, you can always share it just one more time.  Thank the Lord for the tender and available heart of a child that was willing to do what the Lord asked, “Just one more time!”
