Recently as we met with Bent for discipleship, his friend Stig was present.  Bent and Stig (pronounced Stee) met many years ago at a seminar.  They quickly became good friends and have remained close through the years.  Last year, when Bent had his stroke, Stig was helpful to Bent’s wife in providing her transportation to the rehab center.  It was Stig, who was talking with her on the telephone, when she had a heart attack and died.  It was the reality of that incident that had Stig’s heart open when we asked him about his own faith.  Stig responded that he did not have an assurance of heaven or eternal life, yet he would like to know it.  With joy, we presented the gospel to Stig and he prayed to receive Christ as his Savior.  It was also a joyful moment when Bent raised his head up from his pillow and said, “Wow!  That was great!”
