A WORK THAT CANNOT BE UNDONE: Grandma Rose is the oldest member of our church (almost 80), but still manages to be one of the most active. She managed to gather together a small group of children in her neighborhood for the purpose of teaching them the Word of God. One little girl was saved, and this is when the real story begins….
This little girl went to school and started telling her Jewish, Buddhist, and other non-Christian classmates that, “If you don’t believe in Jesus as your Savior, you will not go to Heaven!" Some kids became concerned about this and told their parents. A couple of parents were incensed and contacted the principle who, in turn, contacted the girl’s mother (who has attended several of our meetings and has been involved in Bible study with Rose’s son).
The mother of the girl was very upset by all this and immediately confronted Rose. “Whatever you did to my little girl, undo it!” She demanded. Rose tried to soothe her as best as she could and explain to her that there is no undoing something like this. Thankfully, the woman and her husband are still coming to the Bible study, and perhaps soon God will do a work in her own heart that cannot be undone!
