We are thrilled to be able to report the salvation of three more souls since we last wrote! Honis is a teenager from Madagascar; she was visibly touched as she listened to the sermon one Sunday, and came to talk to me after services. What joy to see her tears of sorrow turn to tears of happiness after she confessed her need and asked Christ to save her!
Anne-Marie is a young mother who used to come to our “Good News Club” with her older brothers and sisters when she was very young. The family had problems and dropped out of church completely. Suddenly, twenty years later, two of the sisters and one brother decided to come to church one Sunday! Taking that first step was hard, but they are so glad they did. They have been instrumental in encouraging two other brothers to return, and all of them have been attending services with their spouses and children. The older members of the Martins family had all accepted Christ during the time the family was in church, but Anne-Marie was too young to really understand. So it was with great joy that we saw her come forward recently to accept Jesus Christ as her Savior! We continue to pray that the other brother and sister will soon be back in church too, and that we will see all of the members of this extended family come to know Christ as their Savior.
Patricia is a nurse’s aide who has been working for some months alongside Marie (one of our members who was saved and baptized a few months ago). Marie has had several occasions to witness to Patricia, who has had some very difficult experiences in her 35 years of life (she has a nine-year-old son who has brain damage from an accident several years ago, and her mother, sister, and husband have all died recently). Patricia showed serious interest in finding a personal relationship with God, so Marie put us in contact with her, and we were able to lead her to know Jesus Christ!
