We decided that since no one was showing up at 9:30, we would start church at 10:00. Today, Steve, Derek and I arrived at our usual time and began to set up. One high school girl that occasionally attends was already there. She thought we started at 9:00! While I was having a time of prayer in the Sunday School room, she came in and we began to talk. I gave her a copy of “Since Nobody’s Perfect, How Good is Good Enough?” We talked for a few minutes about that. She said she had heard that you had to be good in order to go to heaven, so she had been trying to be good. I took out the Scriptures and showed her where there is none good, no, not one. From there we traveled down the Romans Road with a detour to John 3:16 which she had never heard. We talked about how no one had ever loved us like God does.
I saw Steve come by the classroom, and I knew he wanted to tell me to come on to the service, because some of our teens were leading the music today. But God was working. Wabo accepted the LORD about 5 minutes before 10 AM this morning. We made it into the service during the “call to worship”! Isn’t it great we don’t have to be in the service to worship!?
We are so thankful that God works in hearts. This week has been filled with testimonies of God at work. We know it is because people are praying.
