I was so excited that I had to shout! Tony was saved Monday, July 30th! Daniel and I have been witnessing to him for months. He had seriously attempted suicide many times due to drug addiction and a failed marriage. Two days before I left for the States, I went to his home to witness to him again. The day before, he had laid his abdomen open with a butcher knife. When I arrived, he was still groggy from methadone use, but listened well. He told me bluntly that he would rather die than receive Jesus as his Savior. On the following Monday, late into the evening, Daniel felt burdened to go visit him. After talking with him for quite awhile, they prayed together for almost an hour. During this time, Tony received Jesus as Lord and Savior! I even got a chance to talk with him on the phone from Flint, Michigan the next day, and it sounds like he was serious in his decision!
