Tragedy and Joy: Two brothers came to Amazing Grace Baptist Church, specifically to the youth and children’s program on Wednesday evenings.  The older brother, Salvador, came a few times and never returned.  He was not interested.  The younger boy, Felipe, came for quite some time, and then we would only see him occasionally.  A horrible car accident, less than a mile from their home, took the life of Salvador.  Our church was heartbroken!  The sadness of his choices and ultimate destiny is overwhelming.  We are left with the hope that since he had heard the Gospel clearly, that he at some point, believed in the Lord.  Some day we will know.  The tragedy opened the door to joy.

Just a few weeks prior to the car accident, Felipe started attending the youth meetings. A few weeks ago, he was gloriously saved and started to come to church on Sundays.  This last Sunday, when I got up to preach, I noticed Felipe was there, all smiles… and he had brought a friend. We are praying that she too will be saved soon!
