An amazing event happened last week—truly a “one-of-a-kind” in our church’s history!  A taxi driver whom we have been using when we go to Manila, and to whom we have been witnessing for many years, and even convinced to attend several of our sister churches in Manila, recently got saved!

Rev. Jim Johnson and his wife, Bonnie, from Florida, recently visited the Philippines and needed a driver while they were in Manila and surrounding cities.  We recommended Art, and he agreed to accommodate them, even on an overnight trip.  During the trip, Bro. Johnson was able to lead him to the Lord!  Praise God!!

After returning to Manila, Art told his wife about his decision to invite Christ into his life, and she said she wanted to be saved also, so Mrs. Johnson was able to win her to the Lord! When we returned from the States last month, we began talking with them about finding a local church where they could get involved, as well as baptism.

Ultimately, we decided to have them come to Baguio for baptism, and we will refer them to a sister church in Manila, and transfer their membership.  When they arrived in Baguio, the children began expressing their desire to be saved also.  So we won the children to the Lord! So, this past Sunday, we baptized a WHOLE family of five after our Sunday morning services!  The whole church burst out in applause, thanking the Lord for yet another family that the devil won’t be able to reach!
