In the daily newspaper, we regularly see reports of criminals assaulting buses and robbing the passengers, much like the old-time stagecoach robberies we read about in history books.  Luis’s mother, Ninfa, was on her way to visit him when the bus on which she was traveling became one of those statistics.  She lost all the money and documents she was carrying.  Ninfa, who has always been a staunch Catholic, has never wanted to hear about her son’s relationship with Christ.  When she arrived this time, however, God had gotten her attention because of the incident, and she was ready to listen.  I “happened” to stop by (or was it by God’s appointment?) shortly after she arrived, and after conversing for a while, Ninfa trusted Christ as her Savior.  Truly, great is the grace of our wonderful Lord!  Please pray for your new sister in Christ, Ninfa.  She is looking for a good church home in Quito where she lives.
