A First Time Privilege
A First Time Privilege

I recently had the privilege to do something I have never done in all of these 37 years in Mexico. I led to the Lord a former catholic priest who left the church after nine years of preparation and ten years of serving in the priesthood.  He left the Roman church a year and one half ago and attended a Lutheran church here in Chihuahua.  He became convinced there was no difference between the two, began a study of Protestant churches and became convinced that the Baptist church was the closest to Bible teachings.  (I loaned him a copy of the Trail of Blood and he no longer calls Baptists Protestants.)  He came to our church on that Sunday, in his priestly garments which about blew our church away, searching for peace from the spiritual and emotional hell he was living in.  I took him to the office during Sunday school and talked for one hour and 15 minutes before he called upon the Lord.  We were late getting into the second preaching service, but when the visitors were introduced, he stood and proclaimed to the church that he was a former priest and had just accepted Christ as Lord and Savior.  We are in discipleship getting him ready for baptism.  Pray for him, his name is Miguel Ramirez.
