Spanish Junior High Camp
Spanish Junior High Camp
More Souls Saved! The second to last week of July, Therese and I directed the junior high camp at Mount Calvary Baptist Camp.  There were 80 campers in attendance with 56 of those being junior high age.  The theme of the week of camp was “What is my Life?” based on James 4:14:  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.  For what is your life?  It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Our goal was to encourage the pre-teens to surrender their lives to the Lord at their tender age instead of waiting until they were older.  Praise the Lord!  Ten young souls made a firm profession of faith.  During the invitation of the last service on Friday evening, the altar was full of junior high kids praying and weeping on bended knees surrendering their lives to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  It was a week filled with blessings of which you, our supporting churches, played an integral part in your support of your missionaries.

The following Sunday, we were able to witness two men who came to the Lord in our church.  One young man, Dimitri, is the brother of a Romanian lady in our church.  I led him to the Lord in his bedroom at his sister’s apartment on Sunday afternoon.  During the Sunday evening service, a 45 year-old Bolivian man, Marcelo, came forward to receive Christ as well.

Finally this past Tuesday night, Fredy came to our home so that he could talk with me about some emotional problems he was experiencing that were affecting his health.  He had made a profession of faith 16 years ago; but after much inquiry, we determined that it was probably not genuine.  After explaining the plan of salvation in detail, he bowed his head in my office and sincerely received Christ as his Saviour.  Pray for the decisions made by the children at camp as well as for Dimitri, Marcelo, and Fredy.
