“It’s very difficult to give a testimony of my Christian life…I still wear my purity ring. When I explain what it represents (to my classmates), they make fun of me. Often they tell me that it’s all a bunch of lies.”
This is a recent testimony of a teenage Christian girl in France. Her words are reminiscent of many that we heard at camp this summer. Many Christian teens gave testimonies of being the only ones in their entire school to profess Christ. The pressure is incredible and it is difficult for many of them to talk about their faith in Christ. Those around them think the Bible is a pack of lies at worst and a bunch of fairy tales at best.
We are here – to point people to Christ. The Bible is real, and it is truth, not lies. Yes, we believe it and we will preach it, because that is what He’s called us to do. We believe God can use us to carry His message of hope to a lost and dying world.
