“The Women of Faith Camp” is history, but was wonderful. Twenty one different women attended the camp sometime during the week. Some stayed the entire week and some came for only a day or two. I spoke five times on faith and Zorka interpreted. An example of a one day participant was Elza. I had met her previously and was very concerned when she arrived. Every time that I previously had seen her she was visibly discontented and had a scowl on her face. I know she had a lot of problems and had been counseled by many. All I could think of was that her spirit would rub off on others. I shot a quick prayer to heaven before I spoke, “Help Her Lord”. When the day was over she came and thanked me and left. I really didn’t see any noticeable change. At the end of camp we all parted and thanked God for his kindness to us. True to the workings Marta and a friend stayed for the weekend after ladies camp. Marta came up to church the following Sunday and went home with Irenca and Majika. When I arrived at the meeting, Marta came running up to me and threw her arms around me and hugged me. She was trying to tell me something. The “Something” was that Irenca had led her to Christ that very day.
A week after camp the church in western Slovakia gathered for a picnic and there was Elza, dressed in her “Ladies of Faith” shirt smiling from ear to ear. She also had brought a friend for the outing. There had been a transformation in Elza who was radiant and said God had changed her since Camp!
