Colombian Men's Retreat
Colombian Men's Retreat
Last weekend we took seventy-eight men to a retreat.  There we discussed the traits of a servant leader.  Once again, the key to being able to apply the principles that were taught were the nine small groups in which the men had an opportunity to discuss their struggles and find encouragement.  By the way, there were over twenty men who were unsaved.  At least seven of them accepted Christ as Lord and most of the others went home with a lot of questions and an unsettled spirit.  We are so happy with the results that we have decided to handpick twelve more men this coming year, develop a monthly men’s breakfast to continue discussing servant leadership, and of course, we already have next years retreat scheduled.

Don Leopoldo is seventy-five years old.  I remember when his teenage daughter would cry as she prayed for her dad to be saved.  He started coming to church about three years ago.  At first he said he wasn’t a sinner and had no need to be saved.  Then he made a complete about face, he was now too bad of a sinner to be saved.  Finally he traveled to the States to visit another daughter.  There he was saved!  This weekend was his first time to go to a men’s retreat.  He had a blast!  In fact I pray that I can be half as active as he is when I am his age!
