It’s not too often you hear that someone has come to the gate selling people. Yes, you read correctly; “selling people." Well, I wasn’t really sure what to think, but that was the explanation given even after asking for clarification. It required a trip to the gate to understand. Sure enough there was a merchant, trying to sell their goods. But their goods were wood carvings of people and animals. It kind of brings to understanding the phrase, “lost in the translation.”
