Old Grapes
Old Grapes

I have been staying with a couple of my new found Peruvian friends on Sunday afternoon for the past three weeks.  They are so much fun and have shown me parts of Cusco that I would have never discovered on my own.  These friends of mine speak broken English (some better than others). As we were trying to communicate one Sunday, it turned into a game of charades.  Karina kept saying something about grapes (or uvas) and I was trying, in vain, to figure out what kind of edible substance she was so vividly describing in Spanish.  Finally she said, “You know, old grapes…” and immediately I knew she was referring to raisins.  I thought I was going to die I was laughing so hard.  We were all crying for at least 10 minutes.  It was hilarious!  Needless to say, despite the language barrier, there are ways to communicate.  I help them with their English and they help me with my Spanish.  It all works out.  That’s why I want to thank you once again for supporting me in this endeavor.  God has used many of you to bring me to where I am today, and I know He will bless you.
