Joys And Sorrows
Joys And Sorrows

Our Easter service this morning brought its own joys and sorrows.  It was a joy to see some of our men singing with enthusiasm and participating in the service.  Some of these men have come far with God to be able to do that.  We had some visitors and that was a thrill for us.  Some of our regular families though were out because they were going on a picnic this afternoon and the ladies were cooking.  That brought sorrow.  You know, Baptists don’t have many “high holy days” but Easter is as close as we get.

When we returned home, I noticed a chair by the garage was in front of the door instead of beside it.  Sure enough, someone had taken advantage of our time away to help themselves to some of our belongings.  Thankfully, they did not get inside the house, but the garage is missing some tools and some of Derek’s clothes were taken from the dryer.  This is the first instance of theft since we moved into town.  Robbery always leaves you uneasy.  Our razor wire was cut in two places and the garage and shed doors are pretty much useless right now.  Steve was able to get the garage door where it will close at least.
