Better Off
Better Off

Ms. Erika and her three children from Bullet Tree Falls had been living back in the bush underneath a few pieces of tin propped up with some bush stick.  Since her husband abandoned them, they had nowhere else to go.  She has no electricity and has to walk ¾ mile for water.  One night she was away from her house and someone came in and took what little she had.  It is so hard to understand why anyone would want to steal from someone who has so little.  We felt we had to do something.  We were able to pick up some lumber and a bundle of second grade wood siding.  Several men from our church in Bullet Tree donated their time to help build her a house.  It is a 10 x 16 one- room home.  There is a pallet on the floor for sleeping.  It is not much to look at but it is hers.  She is so thankful and so excited to see how God is blessing her and her children.  Ms. Erika received Christ at Christmas and since then has been involved in seeing four other family members and a friend saved.  She continues to invite every week.  She wants to see everyone she knows come to Christ.
