In The Lord's Hands
In The Lord's Hands

After three months, it is nice to have my wife Carol back with us here in Portugal.  What was supposed to be a five-week trip to the States turned out to be a four-month stay for her.  After many tests, the doctors in the States have diagnosed Carol with Multiple Sclerosis.  As you can imagine, the diagnosis was quite a shock to us.  We covet your prayers for wisdom as we seek treatment for her here in Portugal.  The socialized medicine here has huge waiting lists for appointments and treatments.  Through a contact within three weeks we were able to get an appointment with a neurologist that is head of the MS department.  We praise the Lord for how He orchestrates these things.  We hope that the neurologist will accept the tests and diagnosis of the doctors in the States and will begin the treatments very soon.  Carol has had good days and some not so good days.  On the not so good days she experiences quite a bit of pain.  In spite of this she has continued to do almost all the ministry activities at the church that she has always done.  She knows that she is in the Lord’s hands and is trusting in him.
