Beaten But Still Going
Beaten But Still Going

In June we distributed over 6,000 tracts in Athens, Thessalonica, Berea, Philippi and Corinth with a pastor and his church group from Florida.  They were a great encouragement to us.  I had the blessing to lead a Greek man to the Lord in the center of Athens. He is working with monks in a monastery and he said it will be difficult for him to break from them, so pray for Basili.  Monks in Greece are not so humble and graceful: they can get vicious. I have experienced their fury over the years, most recently in the center of Athens when I had another encounter while I was evangelizing.  A monk came and started to punch me in the head and in the face causing my lip to swell while yelling “A heretic, a heretic…” and then he dialed the police to come and arrest me. Thank the Lord that things did not turn worse.  The next day I was back in the same place at the same time because souls are on the balances and we have to go and tell them of a Savior that loves them and wants none to perish.
