At our men’s early morning prayer meeting, one of the prayer requests was, “Please pray that my wife won’t divorce me today.”  It was a mixed marriage and he had signed a document written in Chinese that turned out to be divorce papers.  His wife held them so in case he “misbehaved” she could have the marriage dissolved and he would be deported.  I met with this couple for several weeks as we worked through their problems, the most important being they needed our Lord’s saving grace.  Both prayed to confess their sin and receive Jesus.  On a special date night they had a “Divorce Papers Burning Ceremony” that went a long way to healing their relationship.  It’s a blessing to see how God heals broken marriages.
