Following our Lord in Baptism: Recently we had the privilege to watch three young people follow our Lord in baptism.  It was exciting to watch as Leiliane, Rodrigo, and Ederson stirred the baptismal waters of the Uatuma River.  As always, when baptizing here in the Amazon region of Brazil, there are certain things that go through your mind, most of which are not all that spiritual.  For instance, as you are entering the water, will you step on a stingray, or will an alligator get curious and want to see what all the commotion is?  So, there is always a little apprehension about getting baptized, plus, we always baptize in the morning about 8:30 so the water is a little chilly.  However, in spite of it all Leiliane, Rodrigo, and Ederson proudly entered the baptismal waters.  It is very exciting to watch them grow.  One thing that is interesting is that Ederson had been saved exactly one year to the day.  Please pray for these three young Christians.  Ederson is talking about surrendering to preach.
