God led us to the village of Bomani to start a new church plant and feeding center. God provided four acres of land without any charge through a generous donation from the only Christian family in this Muslim village. The Neema (Grace) Baptist Church started on January 12, 2007. Today they have 160 people meeting every Friday under a tree. By the time you read this letter, they should have moved into the feeding center which has been built through donations from a church in Wisconsin. This same church has committed to constructing the church building and kindergarten classrooms. Praise the Lord for their spirit of cheerful giving.
God is blessing with souls for the harvest. In the past few months, over seventy people have accepted Jesus as Savior and 18 have been baptized. Please pray for these new converts about baptism. Water baptism is a clear sign to the Muslim community that they have accepted Christ. For many there is persecution that follows such as losing jobs, possessions, or even their homes. We pray that God will help them to take this first step of obedience and become a member of the church.
