This letter is going to be about numerous exciting “firsts.” The first week of May, we found a rental house just right down the street from where we had been having our Bible Study. After much cleaning, painting, and some re-design, we had our first Sunday Service on May 20th. We had 39 in attendance that first day, and have averaged 36 throughout the first five weeks. We have seen five people give their life to Christ since we began the church.
Our first services included our first baby dedication, and we have already had our second and third ones. We have some young couples that felt like they should dedicate their children to the Lord, and we didn’t discourage them!
Our second week, we ended the services with our first five baptisms. We had a few problems with the inflatable pool, but thankfully we were able to exchange it for a better “baptistery” for the next ones. We had four ready to take this step of obedience during our second round of baptisms on Father’s day. Ray was able to baptize a great-grandmother and her great-grand son, as well as a mother and daughter.
We have already seen so many miraculous decisions and precious memories made. It is so exciting to watch God work during these beginning stages of a new church. We are anxious to see the many lives He will change as we continue to tell others about Him.
