As I looked out the window at 4:00 am this morning I saw a bright morning star. It was beautiful and it reminded me of something. Although we are “enjoying” 100 degree temperatures and NO RAIN (much less snow), we are nearing Christmas. It doesn’t seem very "Christmasy" and it’s hard to get in the spirit of things. The star reminds me that one day Jesus the Messiah suddenly came into this world born of a virgin. That is a fact and that is what Christmas celebrates, whether it’s "Christmasy" or not. The night and the world are getting darker, but the darkest hours are just before dawn. That morning star shining brightly reminds me that HE is coming again. This is a fact! One day suddenly the night will be past and a new dawn will shine forth much brighter than that morning star. JESUS IS COMING! We must carry the light of the Gospel NOW while there is time. People need the light of that Bright and Morning Star.
