Recently, after giving a list of the names given to Christ in the New Testament, I asked for testimonies.  I wanted to know what name of Christ meant something special to them and why.  I also wanted them to thank God for someone.  A visitor from Malaysia, the father of one of our newest men, stood and said the name “Morning Star” meant the most to him.  As with old men, he said, he got up early in the morning and the morning star was still visible.  He would sit on his porch and think of all the “tribe” God had given him and pray for them and their walk with God.  Another man stood and praised God for the name "Jesus, friend of sinners".  He thanked the Lord for his mother, elder sister, wife and 13- year-old daughter.  He shared how all had a part in either his salvation or return to the Lord when he had fallen into sin.  The third man told us that he had been recruited as a child soldier in his home country.  All he had ever known was fighting.  The name that meant the most to him was "Jesus, Captain of our salvation".  He thanked the Lord for the person who introduced him to Christ.  Caroline and I looked at each other and thanked God for this beginning of the revival we had been praying for.  Please continue to pray with us.
