The Last Good-Bye
The Last Good-Bye

Welcome Home!  Those are words that we hear and enjoy but they also involve a “goodbye.”  Back in February we said goodbye to a people and ministry that we love and went home to America where we were met by many friends and family who said, “Welcome Home.”  We enjoyed some good times in their company, and then the last week of August we again said “goodbye” to people we love and went back Home to the Philippines, where we again gathered with people that we love and they all said “Welcome Home.” What a joyous welcome it was to see old Christians being faithful in the Lord and to see a number that were saved before we left growing and being faithful in the Lord. I’m also reminded of another home that we are looking forward to when all of our friends and loved ones will be gathered together for a great and final “Welcome Home.”  We will also say "goodbye" to heartache, pain, and sorrow. What a great day! Sadly, multitudes will be left without a "goodbye" only to look forward to an eternity of condemnation outside of Christ. When I think of this, I pray, “Lord help us to redeem the time and reach them with the gospel of your love and salvation.”
